The Nest

The Nest is an expansive, indoor-outdoor rooftop bar offering craft cocktails, fresh oysters, and sweeping views in Seattle’s Thompson Hotel. Hum worked with Huxley Wallace and Commune Hotels to develop an identity, collateral, and brand world that highlights The Nest’s signature offerings and design sensibilities.

Leveraging the literary themes established in Scout, The Nest’s companion restaurant located just downstairs, The Nest identity features a sophisticated ligature and refined aesthetic. A charming secondary logo speaks to the beautiful Pacific Northwest sky visible from the deck, and quick-witted copy brings warmth to minimal layouts, allowing the natural beauty of The Nest’s stunning views and local ingredients to shine. The Nest opened in the summer of 2016, and has been called the “most magnificent rooftop bar in Seattle.”
