Husband-wife photographer duo We Are The Rhoads aimed to establish themselves as creative visionaries capable of concepting, producing, and executing photo shoots of all scales. In developing the Rhoads’ promotional books, Hum rethought the standard photo mailer, creating magazine-style promos that both intrigued and reassured large commercial clients. Moving through a series of stories, dynamic layouts and intentional pacing encourage viewers to get lost in the beautiful photo narratives, all while mimicking the look and feel of a high-end, high volume publication.
Our promotional books for the Rhoads have received praise and press across the industry. As a result, the Rhoads have expanded their client base to work with the likes of Timex, Vogue, and Bose. In 2015, they were named one of eight fashion photographers to watch by New York magazine, and featured in Bon Appétit’s list of power couple food photographers.
