Every November, National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) challenges participants to write a 50,000 word novel over the course of 30 days. Recognizing the enormity of this feat, Hum Creative designed and illustrated the 2010 poster to reflect the trials participants face in the visual form of a board game. The poster, recognized in Communication Arts Illustration Annual 52, features a number of lighthearted while informative icons. The icons were then used in a wide variety of promotional materials, including buttons, t-shirts, web banners and more.
